Eight volunteer firefighters work at the Saekigahara station. Being volunteers means they do not get paid. The fire station gets money from the government. It uses this money to take care of the fire station and the fire truck.
The fire station has a problem. Last summer, a pipe in the fire station burst during a typhoon. Water went everywhere. There was a lot of damage. The fire station building cannot be used until the damage is repaired. Repairing the damage will cost a lot of money. But the fire station does not have enough money. The people in town are nervous. They wonder what will happen if there is a fire and no working fire station. Who will put out the fire?
